RSS Codes

If you like the NavSite.com blog, perhaps you may consider syndicating our RSS feed in your web site.

What is RSS?

First off, RSS either means “Real Simple Syndication” or “Rich Site Summary”, depending on who you ask. It’s a smart and practical way of distributing content over the internet. Usually, the blog’s headline and overview are freely distributed, using the RSS’s XML parameters.

At this point, you may want to keep in mind RSS is sometimes refered to as RDF, or “Resource Description Framework”, at the W3C.

The XML container is used to easily categorize content. Every element is nicely separated and therefore properly set for insertion on a site which chooses to “syndicate” the original feed… using RSS!

The XML file generated by the original author of the blog posts is considered to be the RSS feed. The content of the XML file is therefore fully designated by the author.

By requesting an RSS feed for a web site, perhaps to install it in a desktop software or an online-based service, an individual or a group can always be informed of new posts, even if they don’t visit the author’s web site. This becomes pretty useful if you intent to “watch” several blogs and can’t possibly go through them all, each day.

Advanced monitoring process automation, convenience and the utmost affordability (read: free) should continue to be a strong pull for more RSS users who wish to be informed in a rather more efficient manner.

To make things simpler for you, a collection of RSS-related buttons are provided in the right column. Use them to follow what goes on in this blog.

Thank you very much for your interest in our work.
